Who We Are

St. Bartholomew's is a church plant of All Saints Dallas. We are a three-stream Anglican church - rooted in the Scripture, sustained by the Sacraments, and animated by the Spirit - connecting with the people of East Dallas and beyond.

Our Story

written by Jay+ Wright

My family and I moved to Lake Highlands in 2012. A few months later we began to notice a marked difference in the Lake Highlands and broader East Dallas region.  We  saw that our neighbors and new friends were in need of a church like All Saints Dallas: three-stream, Anglican, hospitable, and focusing on transformation in God’s power and grace. But as we invited people to church, a clear emotional disconnect related to geography appeared.

This disconnect manifested in a variety of ways and led us to pray and dream what God could do in the Lake Highlands and broader East Dallas area. Being part of the Anglican Mission (an anglican society of church planters), we quickly began to pray about a new church plant or parish in the area.

As God began to grow All Saints and the leadership began to pray and discuss the next steps for multiplying the church, we began to continue to sense God’s leading in planting in the East Dallas area.

In the Fall of 2014, the clergy and Board of Stewards of All Saints Dallas approved the plan to launch a parish - much like a campus - in East Dallas.

In February 2015, we began with 25 team members from both All Saints and who were new to the initiative. This team began to meet for prayer, to gather, and eventually launch the parish.

All Saints East Dallas, now known as St. Bartholomew's, launched weekly services All Saints’ Day, 2015, and would meet every Sunday at 5:00 pm at Central Lutheran Church, 1000 Easton Rd, Dallas 75218.

In January of 2021, Dave+ Larlee joined as our interim rector. We moved to our new location at Redeemer Bible Church, 721 Easton Rd., Dallas 75218 and began meeting on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am. In January of 2022, Dave was installed as the rector of St. Bart’s.
