First Fruits

  • All Saints Dallas (Oak Lawn) 2733 Oak Lawn Avenue Dallas, TX, 75219 (map)

What is it?

The name comes from the spiritual reality and breakthrough described in the New Testament and especially the book of Acts. On the day of Pentecost, in Acts 2, the Holy Spirit was poured out in fulfillment of centuries of prophecies and Jesus' own prophetic words (John 7, Luke 24, Acts 1). This outpouring was followed by supernatural gifts of healing, words of knowledge, wisdom, etc. as recorded in Acts, I Corinthians 12, Romans 12 and I Peter. These were the "first fruits" of Pentecost. Accompanied by God's word these gifts were, and are, entry points for many to follow Jesus and glorify God.

At All Saints Dallas, we believe that the more we pray and ask for the operation of these gifts the more we will experience healing, answered prayer, faith building experiences and trust in God. Come with hearts and minds open to God's active Spirit working in your lives. First Fruits services are the first Friday of every month and include time to worship and hear good balanced teaching on the gifts of the Spirit. We pray for the "first fruits" of Pentecost to be manifest in our lives and in the lives of those for whom we pray, and to whom we witness.

Come and see!
