Our Maundy Thursday service includes a foot-washing ceremony after Pastoral Resident Clint O’Kelley preaches on Jesus’ washing his disciples feet, holy communion, and a reading of Psalm 22 during the stripping of the altar. The service ends in a period of darkness as we journey with Jesus into the tomb in anticipation of Easter Sunday.

On Palm Sunday, we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem by waving palm branches and singing “Hosanna!” as we begin our worship. The service includes a staged reading of the Passion narrative from Matthew’s gospel and a sermon from guest preacher Amy Orr-Ewing.
