Holy Saturday Easter Vigil & Baptism
This service is hosted at All Saints Dallas at 8pm - 901 S Ervay St. Dallas, TX 75201.
Holy Saturday, also known as Easter Vigil, marks the last day of Christ's death. It is a day of commemoration and reflection on the completion of Christ's sacrifice for sin, emphasizing the significance of his work on the cross.
During the service, individuals are invited to partake in the sacred sacrament of Holy Baptism, either through the act of baptism itself or by renewing their baptismal vows. It is a moment of spiritual rebirth and transformation, symbolizing our participation in the death and resurrection of Christ.
REGISTER HERE - if you would like to be baptised.
Easter Vigil runs late and long, but it’s especially wonderful for older elementary kids and teens. Worship begins outdoors with lighting a spark and the paschal candle after sunset and concludes with a joyful resurrection celebration and the Eucharist! In the middle, keep watch through a selection of Old Testament readings and songs pointing to the hope of Christ. This historic service is partially based on the tradition that Jesus resurrected at the first possible moment of the third day- that the resurrection happened in the middle of the night! The service concludes with a joyful Eucharistic celebration together.
Childcare reimbursement available.
