Opportunities to Connect

I love people.  I love meeting new people.  I love staying connected with old friends.  I love being with people.  As I mentioned in last week’s newsletter, relationships with other people are some of the most sacred spaces that we have.  And the Church is a prime place to initiate and cultivate those relationships.  In fact, the kingdom of God is built on relationships - between God and his people, and between his people and one another.

Two great opportunities to build on these relationships are right around the corner.  First, the All Saints East Dallas Picnic is this Sunday night, September 27, 5:00-7:00 pm, at Stone Tables Park, corner of Buckner Rd and Lake Highlands Dr, directly across from Dallas Academy.  This will be a low-key space to connect with others, enjoy the beauty of East Dallas, and maybe even throw a frisbee around.  RSVP Here.  More details below.

Second, all 6th-12th graders and their parents are invited to a Youth Game Night, Sunday October 4, 5:00-6:30, at the home of Warren and Alison Sibley.  Because families of all ages are so important to us, this event is key as we develop a community for students to connect with God and one another.  Email Kim Iltis with any questions.  More details below.

You’re in my prayers this week as God builds his Church in and through us.  I hope to see you at Sunday night’s picnic!
